Managing your health and your care when you're a single parent is incredibly challenging, but not impossible. We understand the financial toll this can take on single parents and recommend to set up your appointments via telehealth. This way you can tailor your sessions around nap time or quiet time and not have to worry about paying for child care. Therapy sessions require your undivided attention towards caring for your mental health and while I'd love to meet your bundle of joy, my number one priority is providing you with the best care possible and that requires no distractions.

Root Cap Counseling offers a reduced therapy cost based on federal poverty guidelines. These spots are available on a limited bases and require qualification. The first step is having this conversation with your provider, providing proof of income, and keeping a valid card on file. While we understand at times life can catch us off guard financially, creating a pattern of insufficient funds or missed payments will lead to the cancellation of any future appointments.

We get it, talking to a person you've just met can come with a myriad of different emotions. To help reduce the anxiety that comes with having to be vulnerable, we can make a few adjustments:

1. Dim lighting available or overhead lighting available at your request.

2. The use of therapeutic tools to reduce the intensity of siting and talking such as, fidgets, games, coloring, painting.

3. Keeping appointments outside of the work week- Saturday appts available upon request.

4. Wheel-chair accessibility building.

Teletherapy does not require any software downloads or apps. Simply log onto your dashboard portal, click on your appt time, and 15 minutes prior to session start time a personal link will be created. Grab your favorite coffee, or iced drink, a blanket, and your video capable device. Due to the limitations of a video screen, you will need to know ahead of time that teletherapy requires only the individual client for session and no recordings are allowed.
